According to Today FM he is currently on his way to London to have talks with Spurs. They got it off Sky Sports News.

Keane heading back to WHL with his tail between his legs. Robbie has discovered to his cost that the grass isn't always greener. Looking forward to finding out on his views on old rat face Benitez.

Seriously... I'm praying it's all horse sh!t.. He seemed in good form at Anfield yesterday and although verbally it seems Rafa stopped short of 100% commiting to Keane, if you seen it it does seem like he'd be staying.

If he leaves now it'll be galling... It'll make me have a hell of alot more respect for someone like David Beckham.

I was gonna say roll on 5 O'Clock, but they reckon it'll be pushed out cos of the weather.

And back to Spurs tooo. Jayzus ...

From the football365 site, sums Keane up in a few words

"wedjwants, I admit I'm wrong about Keane not being good at anything. I've seen some world class air shots, some spectacular falling over, a good bit of non-productive energy use and some really impressive hard done by expressions. I should try to give a more balanced view, Sorry.

i think robbies poor form is more a black mark against liverpools management than robbie himself. he has scored 100+ goals in his 6 seasons at spurs yet rafa has sqeezed every ounce of confidence from a top striker since he joined liverpool. a few weeks back he scored a screamer against arsenal and followed it up with 2 against bolton yet gets dropped for the next match vs newcastle was rafa worried that he was beginning to find his feet and nipped it in the bud?

Surely they still have his medical history on file at Spurs. I mean, he's hardly strained himself over the last six months.

He has probably worn his kneecaps out after begging Benitez for a start

"Please Please play me. I know I'm better than that other clumsy **** you keep on playing who goes by the name of Kuty!"

Not sure a team with eyes on the title should sell one of only two proven strikers at the club, especially when Torres has a history of hamstring problems.

Can't really see Kuyt or N'gog firing Liverpool to PL success, to be honest. Sod them - a club that is supposed to have some class treating a hardworking player like dirt.

...er, no. Apologies for not signposting it.

Seriously, I'd have loved to have seen him make a go of it at Liverpool, but he's better off out of there. Whether returning to Spurs is the answer, I'm not so sure, but we'll see.

unscratch it, the update is back
13.20 Liverpool have broken their silence over Robbie Keane and have confirmed they will allow the Irishman to talk to Spurs over a return to White Hart Lane. He is now expected to undergo a medical.

If he goes through with it I'm finished with him... Serious man points lost, if he f'cks off back to his comfort zone at the first oppertunity.

This is the man (used very loosely) our players are supposed to look to???

In fairness, he wants to play football. He's not content to sit on the bench or in the stands and pick up his paycheck.

Last game of the season for Spurs is Liverpool away! Imagine if Liverpool are within 3 points of United (or the more likely scenario of fighting for a champions league place). Keane could come back to haunt them.
