Paddy McCourt has come on as a sub for Celtic in their Scottish Cup match today.
Conor Sammon (ex-UCD & Derry) on the score-sheet for Kilmarnock today.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
I see in one of the papers that Keith Gilroy is in the football league with Burton Albion this season..
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Nice goal for McCourt during week
Darren Forsyth ex Shels, UCD and Bray(?) with Gateshead.
Dessie Byrne is currently playing for Hemel Hempstead
Here on a technicality.
Watched Shrewsbury Town, managed by Paul Simpson who played for Finn Harps as part of his playing career, against Lincoln at the weekend.
Former Bray man Graham Coughlan is now with Shrews and I have to say he was very commanding and strong at the back. A hell of a lot of experience there so for his age he's comfortable at this level.
That's a quite ridiculous comparison to be honest. He was light years ahead of Dean Barrett. He was injured a lot when he signed first but he won us the cup in 2004 and was very good in 2005, scored a good few goals that year. He was overpaid but that's another story. There's been an awful lot worse players for us.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
I saw Sean Dillion play for Dundee United against Motherwell last Saturday, he started right back, he gave the ball away on the sideline as he tried to let the ball run out of play, the guy who got the ball passed it into the box and Dillion took him down for a penalty which Motherwell scored and won the game 1-0. Dillion looked very nervous in defence, but put in some very good crosses on attack.
Paddy McCourt 1st SPL start for Celtic, goes on one of his runs and scores . Well done Paddy.
