Exclusive: Foster tipped to shine
Jeff Kenna has told setanta.com that he thinks Ian Foster has what it takes to become a top manager. The 32-year-old recently stepped up from his role of assistant to take the manager's job at Galway United that Kenna had vacated when he chose to join St Patrick's Athletic.
Despite not having been in control of a club before, Foster has been given a huge vote of confidence to succeed at Terryland Park by the man who introduced him to League of Ireland football. After striking up a friendship at Kidderminster Harriers, the pair decided to apply for the Galway position last year when it became available following Tony Cousins' dismissal.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
