no it is not.
seriously u2(pride/streets have no name)/dropkick murphy-shipping out to boston/thin lizzy/fields of athenry(whatever version) all should be the songs, then whatever a few pop songs here and there-the script and what have you.

IRISH ROVER. yes also 'the game' by the memories. the selection of songs 15 minutes before the game starts should be all aimed at getting into the mood.
and again scrap 'on the one road' as the players come out...PLEASE. its a great official song but not going to get anyone in the mood at least in my opinon.
"On the Road" would be perfect at the end ... following a win of course .. or a power draw with the Italians .. instead of Status Quo. My vote for the opening song would An Dearg Doom or O'Sullivans March .. something which sounds like a battle song.
Field of athenry and "Where the streets have no name" are not suitable either... nor Luke Kelly and the Pogues. All grand in the 15 minutes before kick off .. but if the FAI are going down the road of playing a song when the teams come on to the pitch then IMHO it should be a bit more of a call to arms than some of the songs mentioned already.
