Who watched the match on the TV last night?

Just wondering what you thought of it, how did it look/sound and what was the presentation like from RTE?

I watched the match on TV on Friday. Good presentation from RTE. The Sligo boss was good on colour commentary. Hamilton compared the Shels supporters to an Italian crowd. Then they showed the bloke on the loud speaker... who coincidently looked remotely Italian. The ground looked very full and the Shels supporters definitely were the loudest.

I got most of the game and found it very enjoyable.Good football and supporters, hope to see more in the future.
RTE were obviously dedicated to the cause as they had two match commentators,Darragh Maloney and Brian Kerr aslo at the match and another person interviewing players. If they put the proper effort in showing the games it makes a difference.

It's not too hard, just, you know, go to games...

I'm glad RTÉ actually showed the game I just wish they had've been able to move it to yesterday or today - whatever the overall rating turns out to be would've been double had they've done that.
And stay out of Bumtown, ya no talent bum.

Well a very good friend of mine watched it. He was very impressed, felt the standard of football was very high and the thing that struck him most was the lack of diving and playacting that he is used to watching in the premiersh*t. Thought RTE did a fairly good job with good camera positions and good presentation.
I've convinced him to go to the last game at the Cross...hopefully another convert for the cause....

I think the problem was they seemed to announce they had the match very late on, days before the match, and it was probably too late to move the match then, espically with the fixture conjestion being as bad as it is.

    Thumbs up

Good game especially for top of the table clash. Good advert for the league.

Presentation good even if had to put up with George Hamilton insane comments.

eL live games seem to be on a roll now.

So ur a football fan who doesn't loke going to football games.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

No maybe I argued my point badly there.I go to all Ireland games, home and away(where possible) but after that it's just the Dubs games, the odd Celtic game and yes I go with the oul fella sometimes when Waterford are in town cos he's a big fan.

Although I'd shout for Waterford,I don't really support them.If I was to start going to games I'd probably go to Pats cos they're South West but don't have the 'casuals' and I think their fans seem good

Anyone know what the ratings were? I doubt they'd have been anywhere near as high as the FAI Cup Semi Final.
