I agree. It might take the Fingal team a wee bit to gel so I'm sure you'd get a better price on them after a couple of weeks in.

9/2 Shels looks good. Monaghan each way too.

Must be a really bad standard if we're third favourites with no players.

Those odds are right IMO. Sporting will run away the 1st Division

Nothing new there, sure your constantly starting with new squads every few seasons and always build pretty good new ones through your college scheme.
Bookies being cautious just based on past track record.

One of the great myths of Irish football.

We sell players, sure. But when we last went down, we lost four or five players tops. At present, it looks like we'll keep two or three of last year's squad, and play our A Team apart from that.

I'd have given us third with Matt Gregg. I still think we can come top half, and that Shels and Fungus will walk the league, with the latter winning.

You definitely produce much more players coming through your system than most other clubs, within a couple of seasons at most there will be a half decent squad there again. We seem to get a fair few ex-ucd players anyway

Definitely, especially with everyone else coming back to reality. 2009's too soon though.

What are UCD's attacking options like this season?

No idea. We scored a rake of goals in the A League last year, but the First Division is a bit of a step up. Dave McMillan (Evan's brother) and Conor Nangle were the forward pair last year; Keith Ward is a nippy winger who knows which way the goal is, certainly more so than Fitz.

Surely well worth a punt on Shels and/or Waterford and/or UCD just in case SF don't do the business/fall apart/go bust/fail to gel/spontaneosly combust/move the franchise to Dallas? They're decent odds for 2nd and 3rd favs.

Shels at 9/2 is grossly overpriced.
Lets redefine what it means to heal

Hey lads, there are any other bookie who have odds for First Division Top 3? Because I can't register me at www.hacketts.ie/.

Edit: Have found this here: http://www.boylesports.com/betting/i...&slm=1448861.1

Is this the same like at hacketts.ie? I mean, would I bet on a team who reach the first three places or would I bet on the winner of the First Division?

Yes, you can. This is called 'each way' betting, you can see 'EW: 1/5 1,2,3' in the corner.
Waterford do look tempting for an EW bet, I must say!
