Good oppurtunity for some of the lower league clubs to get their own websites.
Seen it a couple of months ago, hopefully they offer free websites for clubsites. They're having a bit of trouble getting the text message system and some other parts of it are causing problems too. English company, Firstsports or something providing it for FAI, pity they didn't buy local....

    Westport B 4 - Swinford 1

Westport join todays opposition on top of the premier league after a win in a match played at a fairly casual pace in the Sports Park. One all at half time, the match seemed delicately poised but Westport's possessional domination paid dividends with two breakaway goals, one of which was very, very obviously offside. Lee Keegans's lob was enough beat a Swinford keeper who seemed to spill a lot today, and then Johnny Walsh scored a cracker from the right hand side of the box which hit the top corner. It looked suspiciously like a cross, but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Swinford play nice football, and the guy with the Justin Timberlake hairdo (Vinny??) seemed handy. They struggled to create chances against a solid defence of Mc Hale and Cameron though, and when Ray Mc Loughlin was introduced he brought an added dimension and created chances with his measured passing. Swinford will feel a bit hard done by considering the scoreline (and the offside goal) but can hardly question the result..

Do you not want the Iorras b lineout also?

The goalie was in goal, 4 defenders were in defence, midfield players played in the middle and the 2 strikers up front. In a 4-4-2.

Is that the lineout you want?

Why would a Fahy player/fan want the Celtic lineup.....hope you are not implying we had non B squad players tut tut.

Good result for celtic dont want to take anything away from that! We were missing a few and had a tough cup game against crossmolina on thurs evening which went to extra time. Lots of tired legs on show! On this form celtic should have no trouble staying up. Roll on touhy cup final!

a lot of huffing and puffing and going nowhere. half resigned/half pushed.
team morale boosted and a victory under the belts of the new management team!

He resigned. He did his best, was fully committed, it didn't work out. Sh*t happens.
    Best of luck to him.

Clearly you have another agenda here, not exactly hard figure it out either. It could not have been easy trying to get a team ready to play two divisions above where they were the year before and he took some difficult decisions, some of which were unpopular. I was critical myself of a couple of performances, but in hindsight I think the players just werent there to play in this division. Hopefully the team can pick up the points they need.

I believe the team that are there now and have been under the previuos manger are well capable of avoiding relegation.
The previous manager didnt even select players in his matchday squad whom had started the previous week and then re-selected them the following week.
I know a lot of players did not know where they stood with the management.

Their confidence in the manager seemed to go very quickly, and now that a new management team is in place, a lot of the players are more familiar with them, and they are definitly more more familiar with the players and their preferred positions.

give it a rest cp the previous manager put this squad together that you think highly of so credit where it is due. HE RESIGNED for reasons that will not nor should not be discussed on here.hes very well thought of within the club and doesnt need or deserve any criticism.he took a job nobody else was willing to touch.save the mud flinging for the nexy guy
i may occasionally walk alone but i'll be in good company when i do

Seen Castlebar Celtic B play a friendly in Charlestown 2 weeks a go and to be honest its not going to be easy for any managment team to change their fortunes over night. Some very good players but they seamed disjointed and lacked any leader on the pitch. Maybe they were missing a few players but they are going to find it tough in the second half of the season. There appeared to be resigned to loosing after going behind in the game and thats probably a result of previous preformances. Still a great result at the weekend and I wish them well for the rest of the season.

The B teams season will be clearer after by Saturday evening. If Claremorris are beaten Thursday and something can be taken from a tough trip to Partry then there is a good chance of survival.
