    Sligo Rovers holding open trials

Sligo Rovers will be holding open trials next Sunday 18th January from 1:30 to 4:00 on the Showgrounds Astro Turf for girls interested in playing for a Rovers ladies side which would compete in the Mayo League depending on the level of interest. The trials are open only to girls eligible for U-18 football. All those interested in attending are asked to ensure that they have the proper footwear. For further information please contact the club office at 071-9171212, Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

Would Sligo Rovers considering opening it up to older players? isn't there about 12 players between Ballina Town and Knock/ Kiltimagh United playing in the Mayo League.. Giving them the opportunity to play with Rovers would provide a really strong squad..

Seems like a good idea alright
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
