Nearly right. I am fairly sure it will be Dundalk v Bohs on the opening day.

It's 2nd vs. 3rd in the first division and then the winners of that play the loser of the 8th vs. 9th game in the premier.

Tallaght wont be ready in time for the season start - the floodlights are only due to be completed on 6th March. And then there will have to be a few weeks trials etc., before a League game can be played there.

Rovers first few 'home' games wll be in Tolka
So in the time-honoured Rovers tradition - their new ground will be ready in "three to four weeks"...

As you know those two, what are your other fixtures? If you don't know them, then someone who knows the above fixtures must.

Printed in the local evening paper. Presumably coming directly from the club.

Sure all clubs know themselves at this stage, it's just a case of publically releasing them to coincide with the licenses being granted.

Clubs don't know at this stage what the fixtures are - someone in the FAI may have give your local evening paper the first couple of fixtures, but the club's don't have the fixture list in their hands at of this moment in time.

    OK fair enough.

I'd be fairly sure of its accuracy anyway. We'll see in about 1 hour and 50.

The bold bit is the key word.

The clubs are not supposed to know who they're playing until the fixtures are released. If they know who they're playing first, then they must also know the rest of the fiixtures.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I've heard this stuff in previous years, and it's been wrong. Until the list is released, I'm treating all rumours as speculation.

I know that it's customary in other leagues to release the first couple of rounds to the clubs beforehand (they do this in the Conference and below - as we've known who Worcester would play in their first two games a few days before the rest of the list was released)
