If any one saw the Lyon match yesterday, there were terraces behind each gaoal(nearly sure about that).
UEFA govern the Champions League so why should they see it as okay to have terraces in this competition but have us strictly banned from even using bucket seats?
    <insert witty remark>

Not recently it seems. As I say, he (+ 10 more) were excellent in the Nou Camp, finding form in the CL...........maybe this marks a new departure by Real.

    Lyon are handy side.

The new format will help the "lesser" team IMO.

If Celtic had gotten through I would have put €20 each way on them to win it, the home away thing would have worked in their favour. Now Im looking for some other team to back. Im thinking Lyon or Real Socidad . They will both be ******s of teams to beat at home and they are capiable of doing well enough awy from home. They are long shots that can, but most likely wont come off.

Bayern and Stuttgard are my other teams I might have a flutter on.
    Oh no not them again

Dont know for sure but id say Real were outscored by a handful of teams in the group stages most noteably Juve, no arguing with 7-0.

All players come into form, but is Real defense good enough to do it for the whole season? You seem to be cherry pickin your games.

    P.S. stop diggin

The knock out thing could favour man u also.Though I hope to god they don't win it after the joke that was the 99 final.

I'd love to see one of the smaller clubs go all the way.Bayer leverkuesen almost did it in 2002 but fell to the brilliance of Zidane and madrid.

I don't know about Chelsea having a weaker first 11 than manu or arsenal but the experience man u have in the cl will make them the favourites of the 3 english clubs to go all the way.

Conor is that directed to me?

If so it was thrown in at the end of my post and I wasnt totally behind it, my faith is in Juve as you probably well know by now.

If you want to go through the Chelsea XI with the United team man for man is might seem close but Chelsea are a relatively young team and dont have the charachter or confidence of true champions and if they progress over the next year or two together should develop this. Its all smoke and mirrors for them at the moment and when the dust settles it will be the same old same old teams at the top, and you can quote me on that when all is said and done this season, ill take my medicine if im wrong.

Lets hope its not boring again this year and the same old faces don't win everything again.

Chelsea for the prem and Stuttgart for the cl.

Oh,and Cork City for the eircom league and the first irish team to get through to the cl group stages in 2005,the year Cork is the city of culture.
