Derry Game?
Prediction time.
We are on a bad run for the last few games, Derry have been on a bad run for about 13 months. We both need 3 points for different reasons.
can we raise our game to beat, what is a very poor team, comfortably? or will we do a typical City thing of let a bad team grind out a crsappy 0-0 draw.
My heart says we will put 5 past them, as we are due a big performance from a lot of our players, but unfortuneatley my head says itll be another 0-0.
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.
I think we will win it, aimply because Derry will need to come and attack us, a draw for them is no use at this stage.
Another thing, if we win and Drogs get a point Derry are in the play off spot and Drogs in the clear. They wouldnt be very interested on the last day of the season then. I wouldnt like it if Drogs went into the last day needing a result.
A win against Derry is vital. Also 6 points should be enough to see us into the Intertoto

City will come out with all guns blazing after tuesdays result. Dolan will have them fired up and highly motivated so expect to see City spending most of their time in the Derry box. I'm going to be a bit optimistic and say 3-0

Exactly. Derry need the win because they know with the way UCD are going that a win will see them leave the students for dust. gaps will be left and even without O'Flynn we should still be more than capable of exploiting them. IMO, our obvious reasons for needing the same 3 points as badly will provide the necessary motivation to avoid another home f**k up.Originally posted by SÓCcfc

I think that we will win this game on friday night but we will have to win the three games that we have left.

Pats have a far more difficlt run in than we do=3 derbies, including away to Bohs on the final day. my feeling is 6 points will do it. and if we can't beat two of the lesser lights in Drogs and Derry then we don't deserve a place in europe
