I'm not too fond of Are You Experienced. I much prefer Axis and Electric Ladyland.

Recently. I picked up Only Built 4 Cuban Linx by Raekwon, Junior by Royksopp and Wild Young Hearts by Noisettes.

Still getting used to them but the Royksopp album is great.

I think the initial enjoyment of "Are you Experienced" can be partly based upon which issuing of the album you heard first.

I first heard the 1993 re-issue which had all of the originally non - "Are you Experienced" tracks appearing first.

I think all of those tracks were only added to "Are you Experienced" in later years.

The 1997, Al Hendrix authorised and remastered release placed all of the tracks in bold at the end of the album.

    Hey Joe" – 3:34
    "Stone Free" – 3:39
    "Purple Haze" – 2:54
    "51st Anniversary" – 3:18
"The Wind Cries Mary" – 3:24
    "Highway Chile"
    – 3:35
    "Foxey Lady" – 3:22
    "Manic Depression" – 3:46
    "Red House" – 3:53
"Can You See Me" – 2:35
    "Love or Confusion" – 3:17
    "I Don't Live Today" – 3:58
"May This Be Love" – 3:14
    "Fire" – 2:47
"Third Stone from the Sun" – 6:50
    "Remember" – 2:53
    "Are You Experienced?" – 4:17

.............or else you're just not fond of the album and thats it!!

I have the copy with all those extra tracks at the end.

I find myself skipping tracks between Manic Depression and Are You Experience. I just don't like those songs in between. They don't jump at me and make me think I'd enjoy listening to them.

I can listen to Axis and Electric Ladyland from start to finish no bother, even if Electric Ladyland drags a bit.

Kid Cudi: The Legend of Mr Ranger. Not bad, bit more guitar driven than his first album. Erase Me is the standout track

Cousins drives me mad. Though Horchata makes me want to kill small puppies.

Last thing I got was Lucky Shiner by Gold Panda. class. Though still waiting on the physical release to arrive.

I only managed to hear Lucky Shiner recently and was gently blown away. It's the album Four Tet probably should be making, no offence to the Hebden.

Hoping to get it, Wild Nothing, Twin Shadow, Foals and maybe a few others when I'm out Chrimbo shopping.

    Few bits recently:
    Odd Blood - Yeasayer
Treats - Sleigh Bells (checking these on recommendations, Treats is just that so far)

Herbal Tonic: The Best Of The Herbaliser (you know, just to have one)

Filthy Dukes' Fabriclive (only one of these for a long while to tempt me into a purchase, looking forward to this)

and two Wire best ofs, one from each band in fact, On Returning (77-79) and The A-List (85-90) - filling yet another gap in the collection, and long-overdue representation for the band with the best name ever. FACT! Unfortunately I've since been playing just Kidney Bingos over and over again in the car like someone with OCD.

Here, in (almost, fairly poor quality ) all its glorious gorgeousness

Completely forgot about that. It's a stomper and Crown on the Ground is one of my favourite tracks of the year.

Sh*t Robot - "From the cradle to the rave" - A nice little journey through dance music over the last 20 years. Fella's from Dublin, on the same label as LCD Soundsystem.

Gonna pick up Not Squares - "Yeah ok" - hearing good things about this.

    'The Alchemist' by Witchcraft.

Just rounded off my discography of this brilliant, vintage-sounding hard rock group from Sweden. Highly recommended.
