Muse are apparently releasing a new album this year. Looking forward to it already!

I am now looking forward to The Duckworth-Lewis Method, after reading about it in the Times last night. The Divine comedy's Neil Hannon and Pugwash’s Thomas Walsh are teaming up to release an album about cricket this summer.
The yet to be titled album already has tracks such as Gentlemen and Players, The Sweet Spot, Jiggery Pokery, and The Age of Revolution.
It's being released to coincide with the Ashes series.
How could this not disappoint this summer?

Just as I see you there Noby, did you get the new Pelle Carlberg album, came out at the tail end of last year I think?
--------
Meanwhile I'm eagerly anticipating the new Mylo album, hoping, after a five-year wait, it can be the second best album ever!
One of the tracks was given to Annie Mac and played last weekend, YouTube link for ye. Apologies for yer wan's retarded voice ruining it though. Must say, outside of that annoyance, I like it so far, kinda French feel of the start of it, before a beautiful midsection. Overall, heightens expectation and excitement.

Lastly, does anyone know of a good aggregator for impending release dates? and maybe current ones would be handy too...
Not yet - which isn't unusual for me. I'm not the 'queue up outside HMV' type of guy. I'll pick it up eventually.
Actually there are several new releases on Labrador that look tempting - I might go on a splurge for my birthday.
Someone did send me a link of impending releases before, but I can't think of it now. Play.com does have a coming soon section, with dates.

The new ...Trail of dead album is great, beats some of the rubbish that's been released since 'Source Tags...'
Not new releases, but I just bought the entire murder city devils back catalougue, re-released on vinyl...sexy like maggie gyllenhaal
Muse interview somewhere this week, apparantly some of their stuff for their new album will be quite classical. Don't know if this is a good thing... although they had one or two tracks on Absolution like that, and they turned out great....

picked up the album last week, it's called Fine Fascination, and I'd recommend it. Single is probably the heaviest track on the album, but it's definitely worth a listen.
If you've ever listened to Yellowcard - http://www.yellowcardrock.com/ - you'll like this.
If you haven't listened to Yellowcard, you really should.
father of kid in my 3 year old's class in school was Muse's representative at Warner Bros and travelled with them everywhere. Says they're top blokes. His other band, The Darkness, hadn't a clue and everything they earned "went up their noses" apparently.
Absolution was a classic & a return to that style would be brilliant. Black Holes was good in parts but really ordinary for a lot of it too.
An album I'm really looking forward to is ex-Grandaddy frontman Jason Lyttle's first solo album, out later this year.
For those that don't know Grandaddy they're a bunch of bearded Californian truck-driver lookalikes whose sound couldn't contradict their appearance more - honey toned vocals and soft melodies in songs that contain lots of environmental and technical obsolesence themes. I have never liked an album so much on first listen as their 2003 album "Sumday".
I'd say they were in the same camp as Mercury Rev, Pavement, Flaming Lips etc. as slightly weird but very listenable to US bands. I always thought Mercury Rev were a great band but the singer's voice grates on my ears after a while. If Jason Lyttle sang with them they'd be amazing.
The Grandaddy guitarist joined Johnny Marr at Modest Mouse, the acclaimed Portland band.

picked up the new Eminem album, Relapse, and it's a return to form from the Detroit native. Ignore the singles, they're the worst tracks on the album by a distance.
Not as good as The Marshall Mathers Album, but definitely battling it out for the second spot with Slim Shady and The Eminem Show.
Didn't know the Arctic Monkeys were working on something. Immensley looking forward to that! The comeback of Blur of course (Although I know that isn't an album)
Isnt Josh Homme from QOTSA producing Arctic's new album or something. That'll be interesting! Alex Turner seems to be quite a talent, Last Shadow Puppets album was quite good too.
