    Attendance next Sunday?

Well lads i think it's crucial we atleast break the 500 mark next Sunday to show the players and management that the city and county appreciate and recognise what they are achieving. Unfortunately Sunday is clashing with a very attractive and high profile hurling double header in the Gaelic Grounds where Patrickswell take on Mount Sion in the munster club hurling semi final and also the county under 21 hurling final is to take place. Already atleast 4 or 5 fellas have said to me they were planning there first visit to the P.R.S.G. until they realised it was clashing with the hurling. This is unfortunate as the number of high profile GAA games on this time of year is very low.Limerick FC has always had a high percentage of GAA fans following the club as good Limerick sports people will follow any Limerick team no matter what the sport.Anyway hopefully we'll have these fans on board for the Kildare game and the playoff games (if we make it) because we need everyone.

It would be great to see that amount, but I think that the events you pointed out will kill off a lot of the crowd, with the remainder being put off by bad weather. Hopefully we will at least break the 200 mark.

Well, its a free country but I just feel sorry for people that think that a county semi-final and an under-21 club match will be more attractive than watching Limerick chase a play-off spot. Particulalry a club hurling match after the rain we've had. Think it is a bit of a cop out really. One thing is that the club have got to get the word out that the Limerick game is on. The county board will make every one interested knows the hurling is on. Will we ensure everyone that might be interested knows the Limerick match is on? Didn't think so.

P.S. Tell your buddies to wait for the final. Although maybe that is set for November 30th....

Maybe so but it is inevitable that people who have been following Patrickswells progression and hurling in general will not decide to head to the PRSG for their first time this season on Sunday. Floodlights would solve all these clashes with GAA and junior soccer but thats stating the obvious.Maybe things will be easier next season playing premier football on friday nights under lights in thomond ParK

The whole of Patrickswell will be a tremendous loss.

Why? Has something happened to the hole that is Patrickswell?

C'mere, you're only a blow-in. You're not allowed slag off anywhere in Limerick.
