It was a forward pass and the penalty try would have been harsh as they had so manh men back. Yellow card was fair as a result. Not sure about Contemponi's yellow probably the right decision though.

We don't need any of that objective neutrality around here Neil. Go and take your fairness to another forum.

Can I just check something ?

How did Ireland manage to get provinces into the Hydrogen Cup when the other countries all have clubs ?

Scotland and Wales have regions too.

It was just a matter that clubs wouldn't have been competitive and the competition would have just have had English and French clubs being dominant.

As has been said, other countries enter regions too (Italy likely to follow too I'd imagine when they have regional teams in the Celtic League).

Also, some of the English teams are effectively franchises at this stage too, removed from their original forms.

Looking for a ticket for the semi-final.

If anyone has a spare, or knows of one going, I'll gladly take it off your hands.

I know this is a lng shot but I will be in Dusseldorf for the Leinster - Munster game and was wondering if there was anyone on here who is living in Dusseldorf or has been there who could recommend a good place to watch the game.

any info would be welcomed, thanks in advance.

Not too big a lose for Munster as Stringer can slot in. I would have thought he was more disappointed possibly missing a ERC final than Lions.

feel for O'Leary big time. 1 door shuts and another opens for the likes of Blair, Peel or Stringer. I'd personally take Peel but I reckon they'll draft in Blair *. * I've not heard of any replacement thus far so apologies if it was announced already.

I am so gutted about Tomas being out for the rest of the season!
It would have been great to see him playing in the Lions team during the Summer.

I wonder will Stringer get the call up? Maybe Peel?

    Off topic question
Can anyone tell me what is the possibility of Mafi and Warwick playing for Ireland?
If Flutey and Vainikolo can play for england can we not get these guys playing for us.... Whats the rule on this?? How can they qualify for ireland?
    Is there a residency rule?

    Just curious....

Apparently Warwick is unavailable because he played 7s or something for Australia (mightn't be 7s but apparently it was something that blocks him so don't shout me down if I'm wrong on the cause).

Flutey and Vainikola never playered anything at an international level in union which is how they get away with it.

    Haven't a clue on Mafi.

Mafi played 'Sevens' for the All-Blacks.
I believe the IRFU is seeking to have the rule changed, therefore allowing Warwick and Mafi to play for Ireland. What their chances of success are - I don't know.

Complete role reversal of the stereotypes.

Same as 2006, one team plays champagne rugby all season, the bottles it.

    Leinster had the hunger.

I hope for Quinlan's sake the eye gouge was an accident, it's the lowest of the low. To his credit he apologised to Cullen after the match.

The man is a bluffer in my opinion, and one who failed to land a European Cup in 2006 with a backline that included Dempsey, Horgan, O'Driscoll, D'Arcy, Denis Hickie, Contepomi and Guy Easterby. The pack that season included internationals like Reg Corrigan, Will Green, Mal O'Kelly, Jamie Heaslip, and Keith Gleeson. Yet they bottled it. My point is that I doubt a side of that quality would bottle any game under Declan Kidney or any other reputable coach.

No real progress has been made since, despite the quality of some of the above mentioned players still being there, and the additions of other world class players like Luke Fitzgerald, Rob Kearney, CJ Van der Linde and Rocky Elsom. He (Cheika) has been there long enough and certainly doesn't inspire confidence in me for Leinsters future. As a Munster fan, it thrills me that he is still in the job, but as an Irish rugby fan, it fills me with despair. Leinster won't beat Harlequins on Sunday...I'm pretty sure of that.

Somebody told me that about 12 or 13 years ago 456 people was the total attendance for a Munster V Leinster game. Munster by the grace of God my hole.
