Playstation 3 Compatibility Question

Going to New York at the weekend and was wondering will games bought over there play in a Playstation 3 bought here in Ireland or are they regionalised like DVDs

I think nearly every game on PS3 is region free its only some of the blue rays that have region locks. Games in the states are still quite expensive 40-50 euros, where as with the pound the way it is getting them from england is your best bet i got COD 5 for 36 euro in standsted.

But you may not be able to trade them in here some places wont take US games.

All accessories will work here as well ie controllers etc..
