    CM4 Help

Can anyone detail Hard Disc requirements for CM4?

I assume they are diffferent dependant on the amount of leagues you run, etc.

If you run the bare minimum of leagues you should be able to get away with about 500mhz and 128mb ram (maybe 64).

Generally though it's very slow. When I did play it I ran it on a 1.7ghz 256 mb ram PC with about three leagues and it was still mind numbingly slow (that coupled with the crashes and the bugs and that the game is actually worse than CM 01/02 lead to me not bothering with the bloody thing anymore).

Ooops! Could a mod move it please?

The sys reqs are grand. I am running on a Dell laptop with a 2.7 processor, 32 MB Radeon card and 512 RAM. It's just with a mountain of games coming out this Christmas I want to check hard disc space to see if I can fit all my new games onto my C drive.

    Oh, right. Sorry.

You're looking at around 400mb to install it and between 150mb and 300mb per savegame.

With the Spec you have you should be able to save Father Christmas himself on there!

Games that run from CD normally don't take up that much space but surely you can only play 2/3 games at a time anyway unless you know something we all don't!!
I'd rather die laughing than trying!

You would think that the spec would be fine wouldn't you? The Hard Disc requirements are f*cking immense on some of the new games.

    C and C: Generals: 1.5 G

    Jedi Academy: 1.75 G

    Max Payne 2: 1.8 G

    Halo: 1.2 G

    The Sims: 1.8 G

... all of this simply proves that PCs are always lagging behind software demands.

Thanks for the info. Should be able to fit it into a gig on my c drive.

Currently I am going through a 5 year career in FIFA, replaying Vice City, finishing Jedi Academy and the USA section of C&C Generals, playing the sims and replaying Max Payne 2 for a third time.

(Oh, and eating and sleeping every now and then - if only there was a triple speed button for real life, like the Sims.....)
