I edited the post until I was happy with what it said, not in response to any replies, as you can see. If you can't wait until I finished that's hardly my problem!![]()
I can see how your wife's maiden name being the same would raise a giggle, but it's not a very big demographic for Ms Lynch to aim at, that one.![]()

IMO Kilinaskullys just Pat Short doing the same old jokes and gags he been doing for years, It was funny for a while but got old very quickly. Father Ted is classic comedy proberly because there was only 3 series it never got old.
How do you work that one out?

One of the major problems I have with Father Ted is that the show uses the gimmick of audience laughter added to the scenes. I don't need someone's else's laughter to tell me what I think is funny or not. Pat Shortt's scenes in Father Ted are great however!
What shows I like are a matter of preference and as someone who supports Athlone Town I have had to develop a special kind of humour to enable me watch them - especially over the last few seasons.![]()

Seen "Nightlive" last night.
I was quite literally astounded at it's ****ness.
The current crop of RTE shows are among the worst ever on television!

Cobh Town Council are on line 2. They want to know if they can use that hole you've been digging when you're done - they've been looking one big enough to use as a landfill site, and they reckon that'll they'll get ten to fifteen years into what you've already managed in this thread.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.
Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

This is why any decent comedy and satire will never thrive in this country - its strangled at birth by politicians and their frenzied local constituents.
DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING!!!!

Oh dear, oh dear. How wrong can one person get ?
Killinascully better than Father Ted -(Oh, and Father Ted may have been "made" by Channel 4, but it was created, directed and acted by Irish people - proof that we can do it - just not on RTE seemingly.)
Upwardly Mobile - Only hated by Dubs, because it was poking fun at them ? (No, that would be because it was unfunny crud.)
Fawlty Towers - Timeless classic. The best sitcom ever made. Absolutely not dated in any way.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.
