    Very Harsh Neil, Very Harsh.
Where I stand in the Shed is irrelevant you can usually hear me every game,
whether it be good or bad, I pay my money and speak my mind.

I give credit where its due and am totally entitled to give out when things are bad.
Granted some of my pals in the Shed may be a tad more cynical than myself but everyone is entitled to their say.

I presume by putting the word "fans" in inverted commas its a mark of respect for those older & wiser members.

We'll put it down to a bad day in the office.

Even though at first i was happy to see Derek back i am now changing my mind. Its true we should never bring in players that are not better than what we got here and unfortunately he isnt.Alan Bennett was doing well in there and Derek has looked awkward and slow and very prone to mistakes since his return.

Kevin Murrays situation is strange.Bennett on the bench and has a lot more experience that playing Murray out of position and out of his debt in the centre.Isnt it important to make sure we get into Europe?

Whats going on with these Nigerians? Are they not good enough? If not get rid of them and stop wasting the clubs money and bring in a proper central midfielder.Something we have needed since Reynolds left
Spot on. As for the nigerians, I think they're gonna need a while- new country, new style of football, new everything really, they have to settle first.

As for what Neil said, I agree 100%. There's a certain group in that corner of the Shed who you never hear being positive. The only time they open their mouths is to bitch and whine. I know people have a right to their opinion, but I wish they'd give some credit when its due as well.

Derek is a good player but like every player has his strengths and weaknesses. Everyone has a bad performance and suddenly it was wrong to sign him again??
I don't think so. Derek's return has made the squad stronger. We need Bennett in midfield where neither Derek or Dan can play.
That's what I thought would happen but for some reason, i just didn't think of Kevin Murray!

Piffle. he isnt a good player, no where near good enough to play in a team with European aspirations. The guy weakens our team. he is ok in the air, no better or no worse than Murray/Bennett/Napier/Deccie Daly. His distribution is woeful, his tracking is shít.

Yes, id have him in the squad, but not a first team regular. Has he played a good game since coming back? Ill think you'll find that the answer to that is NO!

    Dunno bout that Gary,
Did he play well in any game since he came back?
He played well on his very first game back.
I think Derek is a lot stronger in the air than any of our other defenders.
But he is slow and can't pass the ball at all.
Benno might be a better option.

City are hardly playing like a team with European aspirations.
You'd prefer to see Daly back?? Napier is gone. Bennett is needed in midfield, where he came from btw.
His debut V Rovers. Did alrite against UCD until he was sent off. I haven't seen any recent games.

True. But it's pathetic to hear "Dolan OUT"'s and booing of the players off the pitch after a bad result (and admittedly a poor display). Ever player out there gives 100% (we've long since got rid of people like Hartigan) and booing them off the pitch does no-one any good. The thing is if ye are really that upset with things at the moment yeshould be booing the players and shouting Dolan Out every game, not just after the poor results.

Redx, point taken, and I agree we're all entitled to our opinion. Only a few games left - lets get behins the team and..... See ya in Estonia or somewhere next summer!

A point well made .... Razor, you have to admit.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

I don't have anything to do with the Dolan Out stuff, I believe in giving the man a chance, (even if he does turn out to be a bluffer)

My issue is that I don't believe some players are giving 100% and the only way that we have as fans of letting them and Dolan know we are not happy is vocally. If I think they've given their all then I'll let them know that too. It works both ways.

Ironically enough speaking of Hartigan, I saw him play at centre half for Avondale last Saturday and he was brilliant. Up front never really suited him but he looks so comfortable at the back.

He went to the back a few times for City though didn't he? Def once anyway towards the end of a game. I think Hartigan up front was trying to copy the Quinn/Cascarino tactic Ireland had. The problem was City had no Aldridge or Robbie Keane.
