Brian King latest player to be linked with Drogheda.
An awful cuntish post, Danny.
He'll improve alright; just don't expect the next Owen Heary or anything like that.

Timmy Purcell and Shane Duggan both featured for Cork in their pre-season friendly against Waterford.
Timmy's there because of Mathews. Majority of opinion on Cork forum that he struggled. I'd say he might get a chance to impress at Drogheda. Comments from Corkies:
not too keen on 8, 19 and 6 (Duggan)davin and timmy both looked bright when they came onI hope we don't sign:
Shane Duggan
Matthias Kullstrom
Timmy Purcell
David Brito
Levi Reidand...http://www.ccfcforum.com/forum/index...ic=29208&st=206. Shane Duggan...Industrious and busy
10.Timmy Purcell...Played very well, he impressed me
I would sign...based on todays performance and reports from training...
Robert Mezeckis
Gints Femanis
Timmy Purcell
Daniel Gattering
Darragh Ryan
Tacio Santos
Bermo's on trial at Stockport again, Alan Mahon's retired most likely, Shorty's training with us and talking to Monaghan.
Edit - the two McMillans have signed though.

Hardly. Anyone who wanted a trial got one I imagine (we played 11 trialists, 5 members of our squad, 1 from our youths, and another trialist and youth player didn't come on). We were looking at Duggan as one of a number of centre-mids who would be backup for Gamble and Healy since Darren Murphy is gone (unfortunately).
Mathews is gone.
The second quote is most likely referring to Timmy Kiely. We started with Silagallis and Purcell up front. We started the second half with Davin and Timmy up front.

Bermo and Kinger in action against Manchester United today - link.
Seven triallists in the Stockport side in the Manchester Senior Cup. Dean Lawrence was with Shels last apparently.
Edit - County won 8-7 on penalties after a 0-0 draw. Bermo played the whole game, Kinger was substituted.

He's a part time player. At 30, he may no longer consider the burden on his free time worth the hassle, especially given that (a) his dad just left the club, (b) most likely all of his mates have left the club, (c) we're in the bloody first division again and (d) it's severely reduced pay all round!
Purcell won't be signed by Cork, Duggan potential signing. Was in the Cork Echo.
They're all fair points. Still, he has a few left to offer and he's spent a good deal of time at the club, it's sad to see him end his career short. I'm not his biggest fan by any means but he has a great deal of experience and gives 100% every game. It would be nice to see some continuity with all the change. But if the rumour is true then I thank him for all his efforts over the years.
I'd love to see him at the club next year too, particularly as he'd probably have more league appearances under his belt than the rest of the squad combined: we've always lacked experience, and it'll be particularly acute this time. I was just suggesting motives if the rumour is true.
Darren Forsyth and Shane Barrett available after not re-signing for Shels.

" I'll go right up to here,
it can't possibly hurt.
All they will find is my
beer and my shirt."
Both going to Drogheda, apparently.
