(1) In what other League would you travel to an away game and get assaulted by club officials from the home side?
Shels officials (Ollie Byrne & others) punched at least 6 Derry fans tonight, because of a f**king flag.
The flag said "Pi££a = Juda$"
Ollie ripped the flag at the start of the game cos we refused to take it down.
He then brought the Garda over to get us to take down the flag - he was told by them that we were not doing anything illegal, and they would not remove the flag.
That wasn't enough for Ollie - undeterred, he came back at the start of the second half, and tried to forcibly remove the flag. He was prevented from doing so by about 20 Derry supporters, so Ollie and his moustachioed henchman then started throwing punches.
He refused to back off, despite attempts by other Shels officials to drag him away, and in the end he had to be escorted away by the Garda.
I managed to capture a lot of incidents on camera, despite the efforts of a Shels official who was trying to stop me taking photos - I'll post them on the web tomorrow.
Shels fans were apologising to us on the way out of the ground, as they were disgusted at Ollie's behaviour.
I'm glad that Brendan Menton was there to witness the incidents - perhaps now the FAI will act against this lunatic."

(2) "I was one of the 1st Derry fans Ollie attacked tonight.The guards where standing holding him back as we were passing and he was swining punches at us.He then proceeded to our main set of supporters and started to grab Derry flags etc;
Before the game started he tore oe of our flags (PI££A = JUDAS)and when we displayed what was left of it he called the guards over but as it wasn't racist,sectarian or political the guards said it wasn't doing any harm but Ollie went crazy at the h/t whistle.
Niall has **** loads of photos.He's gonna put them up tommorow.
BTW one of the guys he punched was only 15 yrs old!"

Another one for Roy Dooney, this time regarding a member of a club currently insisting that another club be punished to the letter of the law for what was by comparison a minor misdemeanor...
No wonder our league is a shambles: Ollie Byrne is one of the most influential people running it...
