Cardiff University pulls the plug on Gerald Walsh

I see that Cardiff University has decided to terminate their relationship with Gerald Walsh to fund their prestigious chair in public health which was worth £2.5 million a year.

But the university has now said it has terminated the contract and is reviewing the way future posts are funded.
The university will now fund it by its own means.

Gerald Walsh was unavailable for comment.

I wonder what he did to Cardiff University that not only led them to terminate their agreement with Walsh but review all other funding aspects? Is there no end to the mans talent?
