Apart from that incident, Connor is a damn fine keeper. I'd have him ahead of Devine (just) Don't think you need him but he'd be a good signing
According to the Waterford Utd Forum BTID,Pat Dolan has aledgedly made enquiries about John Frost,Dave Mulcahy and goalkeeper Dan Connor. There is a thread about it under "New Players".Surely we could not be interested in Connor?Would be very dissapointed if there was any truth in this.In relation to other Waterford players i would be surprised if at least one does not turn out for us next season.Lets hope for Frost and possibly Clifford.Even though i do rate Alan Reilly also..

to be honest, Connor is as good as there is in the league at the moment, and i think he has the edge over Devine. Just because we all hate him at the moment doesn't mean he wouldn't do a job for city.
I wouldn't be as sure of the other two, are they that much better than what we already have, would they really add that much (we all know where our problems lie).
dont honestly think we need another keeper
mick devine and dan connor r both first choice keepers and would be with any club
cant see any of them being happy with warming the bench at city
Don't honestly think we need another keeper. Devine is one of the best in the league. We also have Mooney and McNulty.
Mark Clifford : yes
Frost : maybe
Connor: not needed
Anyway, never bother with what a bunch of Mossies are bullsh*ting about.......![]()
Apparently McGeough was lashing out about this in the papers the other day..he said that some of his players werebeing tapped by three other clubs.......Apparently this goes on wholesale in league of ireland........
Bring back the plank
it's a fact of life here in the eL, but in fairness most players are on season long contracts and are free to talk quite early, just as with Bosman, ie. the jan before the end of the season...Originally posted by Ozymandias

Players know of their options long before a contract is offered, it is they who quite frequently put out the feelers first, no harm if they know how much their worth...
IMO, that is why you hear of someone being linked but most times it never materialises...

considering your traditional short contracts for players in ireland then in a post-bosman era it is a players market isn't it? No player is going to be that far from the six months end of contract perios in which he can be apporached by another club, is he>
Clifford would be a good signing, Frost could do a job too, seeing as billy Woods left his form and interest wherever he was last wearing hoops, but I see no need for another keeper. Devine is doing a great job, and Mooney is a more than able substitute.
