Ya heard he has a reasonable chance of being on the bench and slight 1 of coming on but i don't think he should be rushed on especially with bigger games coming up...............
I've heard that he stands a very good chance of starting on the bench for tomorrow nights game against Longford.
Anyone else know more about this?

Agree with the no rushing Flynny back tactic.
We've done alright without him and worse
injury could be done...that wouldn't be good.
Still, it's good news that he's close to a return.
Especially with Doyle getting called up to the U-20 squad.
According to D'Echo last night Doyle is doubtful for tonight, no more than 50-50.
It could be true or it could be an Osam doubtful who knows.
it is great news that he's on the verge of his comeback, but even with the doubts over Doyle i wouldn't risk him tonight.
thats great news with scumbag rvrs on friday and waaaaaaaterford on tues
Cork City F.C. the envy of the EL
well he did make his return, but he looked nothing like match fit. he'll need a few games to get back into it.
flynn looked far from fit, and i don't mean match fit. he looked in a bad way towards the end. to be honest dolan shouldn't have him near the bench if it means a chance of even a bigger injury. the rest of the team should be man enough to shoulder on without him as god knows they have c***ed up enough games they should have won
john flynn? - awesome!!!!!!
agreed, the team we started with last night was the same that started against Bohs (bar hoggy) a side Dolan was happy to leave untouched for eighty five minutes last friday, so why throw O'flynn on after thirty minutes, and risk a man that obviously wasn't close to match fit, who we will need in our final couple of games.
Considering the footy on the telly o reckon having Flynn on was a marketing ploy, and bringing him on was for a morale boost to the other players.
But i agree, he looked far from fit, he didnt even look 50% to me. He wasnt (couldnt) chasing after balls etc. Hope he doesnt make the team for friday because a clown like Reynolds, or Palmer will seriously hurt him![]()
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.
you could have a point him being on the bench (didn't work though brutal attendance), a player who was so obviously out of sorts should never have been asked to play sixty minutes.Originally posted by Gary

Given our recent scoring record, I think a half-fit flynny would have a better chance of scoring than most of our other players! I reckon it was a morale booster more than anything- god knows it was the biggest cheer of the night
And nothing to do with the fact that he's the best striker in ireland...Originally posted by Gary

c'mon Neil, he has a bloody point, Flynn is the best striker in Ireland when he's FIT. He was far from that on Tuesday and should never have been thrown on for an hour.
Was surprised to read a text to say he'd come on that early alrite, especially as conditions weren't great. Surely a few 15 - 20 min run outs before an hour?
If he's as unfit as has been mentioned, it would seem he hasn't been doing much in the last few weeks either which would make me ask even more, why he played at all.
