U17 and U19 draws for 09/10

The U17 and U19 qualifying draws for 09/10 were made today. These are first phase games to be played in Autumn 09.

The U17s got Sweden, Bulgaria and Latvia.

The U19s got Italy, Albania and San Marino.

The top 2 and some runner ups go through to the elite phase.


The U19 elite phase draw is tomorrow for 08/09. We are 3rd seeds.

Seeding groups
Pot A: Serbia, Germany (holders), France, Turkey, Russia, Scotland, Belgium.

Pot B: Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Netherlands, Switzerland, England, Romania.

Pot C: Norway, Greece, Slovenia, Finland, Slovakia, Republic of Ireland, Estonia.

Pot D: Belarus, Sweden, Austria, Denmark, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Latvia.

Played the same time as the Senior side in Bulgaria.

Scotland and England were drawn together in Group six.

I wouldve thought bar Sweden that was about as good a draw as they could get??

Judging by the results in the previous phase I wouldnt be too optimistic of progressing.

Four nation International U15 Tournament in February.

Venues are to be Athlone, Tullamore and Mullingar.
