Athlone Town Football Club would like to thank all supporters, volunteers, iSTAT (The Supporters Trust), sponsors, staff, and in particular the coaching and playing staff for their contribution over what’s been a turbulent season.
At the end of this season most of the staff and players contracts have come to an end but the work continues in clearing up this years debt and planning for the 2009 season. To bring stability to the club we will have to look long term in respect to a sustainable budget and the development of our overall youth policy as next season will bring new challenges both on and off the pitch in terms of finance and club structure.

In line with club policy the club are inviting applications for the position of manager of the first team. This is in agreement with the policy of only appointing management on a twelve month basis and should not be viewed that the current incumbent has decided not to apply for the position for 2009.
