cliffoney arent too bad, they will be in the promotion mix in th epremier league, they were top of the prem last xmas but had a bad run and were nearly relegated....it was atight league last year, 5 pts seperated the promtion and relegation play off places, will probably be the same this year....in all fairness the likes of yourselves and castlebar should be too strong for us and cliffoney even if ye are in the close season, the junior cup will keep ye ticking over........are castlebar a long ball team????

For the last few years they have been. They like to play the ball over the top and get most of their goals from set pieces. Their fullback has a great long throw. They have lost alot of players since Gavi Dykes left but are still dangerous.

Firstly that full back with the long throw is actually a centre half,Ball over the top!!!!!They try and play football all the time.Mabye in Mr Dykes time they played long ball.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, Celtic play long ball tactics and do score alot of goals from set pieces. Their goalkeepers foot must be sore from having to launch the ball forward over the top all the time.

When Celtic try to play football against good sides they normally lose so they should stick to the Dykes routine

GoodFootball, you have got to be joking! I'm not sure when was the last time you saw celtic play, by the sounds of it you must watch every game, but let me assure you celtic are no long ball team.
Only 2 months ago they blew ballina off the pitch in milebush, 3-0 with not one goal arriving from a set piece.
Despite the fact they lost 11 of mayos best young players since then, they have still easily beaten swinford, glenhest and claremorris with flowing attacking football (you can only beat what's put in front of you)....long ball my a***

    well said lads

good football never goes to any games, he's a brother of a certain westport striker and i've never seen him at a game, so let him come out with his jealous remarks and stick to your own team, fahy, good lad!! hoofin?? i wasn't admitting to it at all i was just saying that if we were hoofers it must have been working but we're not. ballina in milebush is a perfect example and you ask anybody in mayo what we were l;ike that day not just celtic people and they will tell you about the football we played, quality on the ground football, go to a game some time good lad and get off that jealousstreak and learn how to play football yourself!! you wouldn't be anywhere near the celtic team so who are you to talk when ya can't play yourself??? keep trying good lad!!

it's our centre back with the long throw and that hasn't been used in months, i don't think it has actually been used once since dykesie left!!! set pieces??? i don't know where you get that from, we're a small side so don't see why we would depend on set pieces!!!! we train on getting the ball in to the front two on the ground because we have strikers with the quality to get in behind, so please stop talkin about things ye haven't got a clue about!

You didnt beat us in the league with a strong team. Glenhest (Premier Division), Claremorris (lower part of superleague) and Swinford (Sub Premier) are very average teams it is easy to play good football against average teams.

Three five two - sorry i forgot, you were at the game against tralee last year thats how you know all about the game ya??? i think if you actually were there you would know we won easy they never threatened and we could and should have scored way more!!!

hoofers for the past few years??? i don't think so but seein as you're such an expert and go to evry one of our games you obviously know, obviousl it works if we've gotten into 2 semi finals and further than westport in the last few years in the fai!!!!!! ye should start hoofin!!!!

Above is the quote you made in the Junior Cup thread. Where you admitted you are hoofers now you claim you are getting the ball on the ground. Make your mind up.

Been to enough Celtic games to see that ye play football like Bolton, ye dont have the physical side now so maybe ye are changing style of football, remains to be seen.

Backup your other personal comments on the pitch next year...im looking forward to it!! Nothing like a good battle with another physical player

As much as I LOVE celtic, it would a step backwards for me playing for them, thanks for the invite all the same! All the best trying to get back into the Oscar Traynor team
