If they are both run properly then why not? Mervue earned their place, providing they get a license.
Just a thought! With all the financial problems round the league at the moment.I was just wondering is it financially Viable for Galway to have two teams in the league?
Till d End!

As i said before fair play to Mervue and I think there is room for two teams but not in the same division for now .![]()
I hope for Mervue's sake it works out. But the two clubs will be chasing the same sponsorship.
Neale Fenn on retiring: 'I think once you finish you might as well finish rather than making all sorts of comebacks.'
2 teams arent viable in Galway as has been shown for the last 31 years its hard enough keeping one going .Good luck to Mervue but I hope it doesnt affect the running of the rest of the club.
We are the Galway Boys Stand up and make some noise"
What does "viable" mean in this situation?
Can both clubs thrive and be successful on and off the pitch? I doubt it.
Can they stagger along in the same shambolic way that most LOI clubs have been doing for years? Sure, why not.
Would love another couple of trips to Galway every season but honestly I don't think it would work out. Its a big step up the ladder for Mervue hopefully it work out for them
