If they are both run properly then why not? Mervue earned their place, providing they get a license.

I hope for Mervue's sake it works out. But the two clubs will be chasing the same sponsorship.

2 teams arent viable in Galway as has been shown for the last 31 years its hard enough keeping one going .Good luck to Mervue but I hope it doesnt affect the running of the rest of the club.

What does "viable" mean in this situation?

Can both clubs thrive and be successful on and off the pitch? I doubt it.

Can they stagger along in the same shambolic way that most LOI clubs have been doing for years? Sure, why not.

Vast majority of clubs are struggling to make ends meet. No diffferent in Galway whether they had one club in the city or five clubs there.

That is exactly what I mean.

Is it possible for Mervue to be one of those clubs struggling to make ends meet? Yes it is.

Would love another couple of trips to Galway every season but honestly I don't think it would work out. Its a big step up the ladder for Mervue hopefully it work out for them
