    yeah,my fault.
should not have put a gap there.
just thought he was being very petulant in his reply.we all would like to see a healthy LOI team in limerick.the glass is always half empty with this"lim 'til i die".
reminds me of a guy years ago, playing football on the streets.
used to take his ball home when things were not going his way.
something like "Cartman"...."well screw you guys..i'm going home!!!"

[quote=LK37oldskool;1066184]the FAI license wont be a major problem, they need a team in the mid- west.If we got one last year, next year should be the same.
Dont worry too much about the license, the F.A.I have bent the rules in the past for clubs in the league and they'll be doing alot of it next season too.
If they were to go by the letter of the law for the licence next season very few clubs would get one, considering the state of their finances, never mind if there grounds are up to scratch.

I've read this three times now and only about 30% of it makes any sense. This at a time when the government are making cuts in education.

To get back on point: No hope of promotion next year without serious financial backing.

I disagree. Cobh will have no major budget per se to talk about next season, nor will Finn Harps. Waterford might...I'm not sure. We have proven our ability to beat every other team in the division bar Sporting Fingal. It will be a very closely fought league, and if the form from the second half of last season can be maintained then I see no reason as to why we couldn't be promoted.

And I'd much rather remain in Division One than go broke again trying to get promoted.

Fingal will have the mulash, Shels will again pull it out of no-where, Waterford will be decent enough, UCD will probably be favourites and if Harps are down (or Drogs) then thats another contender. Strongest 1st div in years next year.

It will be a strong division, but a very competitive one. And I'd rather be playing competitive football within our means rather than in debt. We should be able to attract a decent average gate, operate at a consummate level off the pitch and maintain the steady, but gradual growth the club has seen this year.

I personally don't mind too much about promotion just yet, although it would be nice, and not altogether out of our reach. UCD are poor, quite poor in fact and will lose what talent they have left now that they are relegated. I can see the final shake up involving Shels, Sp Fingal, Waterford and Limerick again. The relegated teams will be demoralised both mentally and from a resources point of view in my opinion.

    The squad Joe the SQUAD!!!

Wouldn't agree with this at all really.

UCD are alwaysfairly decent at this level.

And UCD and Harps with Monaghan not a million miles behind the pack.........

I could see Cobh being absolutely shocking alright.

Keep hoping Drogs will come down instead of Harps.

I'm not convinced. As Ltid has pointed out, there are many holes in the squad. If - and let's not forget that what thread this is - the money's gone or being reduced, and if, as has been hinted to on this site by some people, Wayne hasn't been signed (and I know it's unlikely that he'll go elsewhere) then I see problems.

Look this is all rumour as yet, and as usual, but I'd be optimistic that if we can hang on to the bunch we have we can really push on next year. Whether or not we'll actually win the league is beyond prediction in my opinion. Anything can happen. But I'd have to say it's unlikely.

If its official, then you must be involved in it in some capacity then Manalishi? After all, a Manalishi is according to the dictionary:
Someone who has loads of greens( 20 or 100 dollar bills in his thick wallet) and keeps flashing them at every opportunity. An attention whore who uses dollar bills to attract females and faggots.
Or are you just waffling, and sh1t stirring?

Even the dogs on the street know that an ex-owner is howling at the moon to buy the club, and its also no big secret that Jack McCarthy wants to sell.

    Get a life.

I for one am enjoying my break.

I would however like to welcome our mystery new backer Daniello Drewgio and the hilarity which his reign is bound to bring.
