Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians failed to break the deadlock in a congested and combative match which does little to help the latter’s chances of catching league leaders Shelbourne.

It was a game where defences rule the roost as both teams marshalled the opposition’s attackers with consummate ease and midfield was busier that Grafton St. on Christmas Eve.
