ive discovered the 11th must -

    11. Thou shalt not question "The Trap" nor expect him to attend matches.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

    Yeeesh.
The only other addition I would make would be:
    11.) A partridge in a pear tree.
Isn't Totti Italian? Isn't Ireland Irish and has already played for us? There is a very real chance of him playing for us in the future - you're anology is therefore bogus...
I'd pick Ireland over Totti anyway!

I believe Fahey needs to be tested at Championship level before being called up but he is a class act. Brian Murphy is also a class act and should be called up as he is without a doubt better than some of those reserve keepers we've chosen...

We're a tad bit off topic currently - sure anyway.............

Believe it or not - the Commodore 16 preceded to Commodore 64. The graphics on the Com 16 were even more primitive by todays standards.

Long before the days of games consoles - Both were primarily used as games machines in the 80's.

Apart from the obvious ones these would be my top 10 musts of we're to qualify for the World Cup

    1. The Irish supporters to get behind the team and management 100% no matter the score or how well we are playing.

    2. To have all our players fully fit and available for selection.

    3. To stay with a paticular formation and style of football so that the players become fimiliar to that system and know what they are doing every game.

    4. Result over performance. Many times in the past Irish fans have been unhappy with unattractive football even when we win etc... and get on the players backs when all that should matter is the result and the three points.

    5. Go back to Landowne Road ASAP.

    6. Keep John O' Shea and Dunne at centre back when available.

    7. Get results away to Italy and Bulgaria.

    8. Give some of the younger players such as McCarthy and Andrews etc a chance as we need more of a battle for positions to keep players on their toes.

    9. Nothing fancy in midfield. Keep it defensive and stop the opposition from playing and let the wingers and strikers do the creating. We have to play to our abilities and strengths and thats what Trappatoni is doing with Gibson and Whelan.

    10. Don't listen to Eamonn Dunphy. Hes just jealous that Brady "Jumped the fence baby"

We'll need a commanding player in the middle of the park in our two matches against Italy if we are go get even one point out of six. I don't know if that player will be Andrews, McCarthy, or someone new, but from what I've seen it will not be Glen Whelan or Darron Gibson.

I agree Fahey would kick your arse, you'd never take him; though if Reid was allowed to use the crutches as weapons it could give him the edge. Either way I'd say you'd lose.

I take it you came up with this statement having watched hours and hours of him playing, yes?

We'll see in a few months time how good he is...

He's not mobile enough to play in Trap's system (4 man midfield).

At Everton and Birmingham he's played at the back of 5 man midfields.

He's a great tackler, but he needs the support of another couple of bodies in there at this stage of his career.

Trap doesn't seem to rate Carsley, or thinks he's past it or whatever, so I don't see him dropping one of Doyle or Keane to accommodate him.

As Carsley has made it clear, he only wants to be picked if he's playing, so it's hard to disagree with Trap's exclusion of him at this point.

I think Carsley would be useful if we adopted a 5 man midfield against Italy, but I don't see Trap bringing him in for one or two games.

Birmingham usually start with Phillips + O'Connor or Bent up front, unless they're playing with 3 at the back, that's a 4-man midfield
According to Sky Sports, the midfield against Plymouth on Tuesday night was
    Code:
    Owusu-Abeiye Carlsley Quashie Parnaby
