Well to be fair Rocky he'd resigned from Waterford so everyone knew he was available. He applied for the Dundalk job apparently and he probably has thrown his hat in the ring for Cork. There's no stampede for his services however by the looks of things so he may have to reassess his position in the greater scheme of things.

Aye that's a fair point, but it's a practise you sometimes see; reminding people he's still alive.

Anyway, I agree he's career may have stalled. I've heard Waterford were delighted to see the back of him given his constant demands for money that wasn't here. Ironic given he's an accountant.

The day any Corkie is pulling strings at my Club will be a dark one. Stay drinking from the Lee lads.
I just sit down at the typewriter & start hittin the keys, just hittin the keys. Getting them in the right order though thats the trick, thats the trick.

I hear Brendan Places name mentioned as been in the final shake up for the job
Why are people who "need no introduction" always introduced?

A bit of Googling turns up that he used to play for Monaghan if it's the same guy. Where is he now? Never heard of him to be honest.

I would just like to welcome John Mannison as the new Longford Manager, looking forward to what he will bring to the set-up next year. Hopefully some of the names he mentioned he could bring with him will arrive.

Where's that confirmed? Nothing on LTFC website. Also, who is he? Google doesn't help.

Looks like Ronnie got let at the Christmas sauce early!. Unless John Mannison is some whizz kid coach nobody's never heard of. I won't be surprised at any appointment to be honest. I'm reserving judgment.

Today is D-Day apparently. There should be white smoke later on. It's apparently between Alan Gough, Brendan Plaice who did play for the Town years ago and was or is involved with Home Farm and Gareth Cronin with Gough and Plaice the favourites.

If Cronin does get it, will there have to be a big public reconcilliation in the Market Square between himself and Tallanted after his infamous TV3 rant?

"I'm sorry Gareth, I have to eat my words". I don't think he'll get it, the person I spoke to today reckoned it could well be Gough but said person says a lot of things, usually to referees.

No, it wasn't Massop. I'll give you a clue this person was formerly on the Referees' Commitee of the old National League which was surely done as a laugh.
