Delighted. Hate shels.
I think it's more likely Harps that would benefit but who knows in this league?
It's amazing that after so many games and so many months that the final spot is decided in the final 2 mins of injury time on the last game of the season. Whichever team would have gone up they already have an advantage going into next season in that they will be a tough, battle-scarred team having survived one hell of a season long dog-fight.

Went down. It was a brilliant game of football in front of a great crowd. Shels missed a few great chances and the keeper made some brilliant saves. The limerick keeper was in the shels box in time added on. Had a feeling from very early on that it was not going to go Shels way.Limerick fans didnt miss the chance to rub it in either

Congrats Dundalk.....
It's been a long long time...
Hard luck to Shels. Very cruel to lose it at the end like that.

Fair play to Dundalk.
At the end of the day they got more points than anybody else and thus deserve to go up.
Congratulations

Don't worry, Shels fans, you'll have the pleasure of reacquainting yourselves with UCD next season.![]()
Strangely enough, when I was racking my brains trying to come up with any positives from tonight, playing UCD didn't come up.
But thanks for the thought, anyway.

All of this has happened before. All of it will happen again.
lmao shels.
Amazing finish.
It's a pity we can't have atmosphere's like that at Station Road every week.
I'm probably in a minority by feeling sorry for Dermot Keely and Shels but at the same time, delighted for Giller and Dundalk.
The final 20 minutes or so were played in a surreal atmosphere but the when the news came through of Limerick's equaliser after the final, the scenes around the ground were unbelivable, if you read a finish to a season like that in Roy of the Rovers, you'd say it could never happen.
We've a huge week coming up but tonight was all about Dundalk, I just hope that our lads can lift themselves and we can see the same kind of joy on our side after the play off next week.
What's the story for the playoff, is it one leg or two? If one, who has home advantage?
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
