Ignore Max Power, he is no more, the future is Ron Burgundy. I'd love to be Ron Burgundy but they won't let me........
I havn't seen this film since it first came out but I have a question about the location of one of the scenes in this film.
Early in the film.
It shows the outside of the 'Chinaman' Public House near Dublin Castle.
Then cuts to the inside where Brendan Gleeson and Donovan(?) are talking (maybe Donovan's father is in the pub too.). I think the there's a window behind them with venetian blinds.
I don't think this the inside of the 'Chinaman'. I used to live in Islandbridge and 'The Black and Amber' pub there was used regularly for scenes of films or as caterers for a 'short' film in the nearby Bridgewater Quay apartments.
Does anyone know for definite what location was used? And I might aswell expand my question to include what other locations were used in the film?
" I'll go right up to here,
it can't possibly hurt.
All they will find is my
beer and my shirt."
The Black & Amber was definitely used. Inside and out

I can remember watching it and trying to place the locations in Cork but they weren't familar (i dont think any of it was shot down here)
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
