Guardian newspaper website also reporting he is gone
"Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins."
"Homer Simpson, smiling politely."
Oops! A little hasty on my behalf. Sorry!
Sad to see him go, wonder whats gonna happen all the new age Ireland supporters now. Not sure Keane is upto the managerial game unfortunately. Hard to see what job he'd go to next.
True to form. Cant wait to see who he blames.

top notch stuff, 'alright there'
Havin a weekend away is quite frankly, lettin ur team mates down!
Shown up as the spoofer he is. First hint of trouble and he sulks and then walks, sound familiar? The next Brian Robson.
From a casual observer point I think the players had lost confidence in him. Didnt seem to matter whether you had a stormer one week, you could be dropped for weeks after and the cycle continues. Giving out about the players more than other managers and buying complete donkeys didnt help either. He's given out more player loans in the last few months than my local bank.
I
hardly a spoofer considering what he did in the two previous seasons. He has had trouble with Sunderland before now. Having said that his team selections in the last few weeks have been baffling, the team hasnt been settled in weeks. Although I doubt Sunderland will get a manager who will do much better than Keane has.
