Suspensions, 24th October 2003

The following suspensions were issued by the Disciplinary Commission at their
meeting on Wednesday, 22nd October 2003 and will take effect as and from
Wednesday, 5th November 2003 unless otherwise stated:

Davy Byrne (St. Patrick's Athletic) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and
fined EUR25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Robert Doyle (Bohemians) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined EUR25
as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Robbie Farrell (Dublin City) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined
EUR25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Wayne Fitzgerald (Waterford United) suspended for ONE (1) eircom League match as
per FIFA directive and fined EUR50 as a result of being sent off v Shamrock
Rovers (10.10.03). Suspension already served.

Colin Fortune (Galway United) suspended for TWO (2) competitive matches and
fined EUR50 as a result of reaching twelve (12) penalty points.

Stephen Gough (Shamrock Rovers) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and
fined EUR25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Jimmy Greene (Manager, Athlone Town ) suspended for TWO (2) competitive matches
and fined EUR100 as a result of being sent from the technical area v Finn Harps
(10.10.03). Jimmy Greene to be positioned at least 50 metres from the technical
area for these matches.

Gary Grimes (Belgrove) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined EUR15
as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points. (Under 21).

Mark Herrick (Galway United) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined
EUR25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Des Hope (Athlone Town) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined EUR25
as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Colm Jinks (Sligo Rovers) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined
EUR15 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

David McCaffrey (Waterford United) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and
fined EUR15 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points. (Under 21).

Paddy McLaughlin (Derry City) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined
EUR25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Gerard McLoughlin (Waterford United) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and
fined EUR25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Alan McNevin (Kildare County) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined
EUR40 as a result of reaching eight (8) penalty points.

Dan Murray (Cork City) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined EUR25
as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

George O'Callaghan (Cork City) suspended for ONE (1) eircom League match as per
FIFA directive and fined EUR50 as a result of being sent off v Derry City
(09.10.03).
Suspension already served.

Greg O'Halloran (Cork City) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined
EUR40 as a result of reaching eight (8) penalty points.

Graeme O'Keeffe (Monaghan United) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and
fined EUR25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Don O'Riordan (Manager, Sligo Rovers ) suspended for TWO (2) competitive matches
and fined EUR100 as a result of being sent from the technical area v Dublin City
(11.10.03). Don O'Riordan to be positioned at least 50 metres from the technical
area for these matches.

Alan Reynolds (Shamrock Rovers) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and
fined EUR25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Martin Smith (Drogheda United) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined
EUR15 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points. (Under 21).

Shane Stenson (NUI Galway) suspended for ONE (1) Under 21 League match as per
FIFA directive and fined EUR25 as a result of being sent off v Sligo Rovers
(06.10.03). Suspension already served.

Cork City v Shamrock Rovers on Nov 7th will have 4 suspended players now. Dan Murray & Greg O'Halloran for City, Gough & Reynolds (does he do this deliberately) for Rovers.

True. Reynolds doesn't play for Rovers anymore anyway and that guy Gough is cat.

Greg and Dan is a big loss, but its a good chance to see Kev Murray at centrehalf and put Benno back in the middle (IMO).
