Stick a dozen Cork fans in a room and it'll take them 18 months to agree on the colour of the walls.

see doolin and the drogs players lost the use of their phones too...
I just can't figure out why the players would need company phones. I don't think Paul Cook will be sad to hear that Doolin had his phone taken, though.

It kills me to say it but I would love them here with us. Love the trip to Drogheda, have free accommodation there, its the 2nd best place to go out in in Ireland and the fans are among the nicest. Now if we could only have Galway and Finn Harps down too..........oh wait.......

Extra inducement to leave Sligo, I suppose.

One of the truest things you will ever hear. You can also replace the word "fans" with the word "people". Would also be a colourfully intonated argument too that would raise manys the smirk countrywide.
I just sit down at the typewriter & start hittin the keys, just hittin the keys. Getting them in the right order though thats the trick, thats the trick.

It is a handy way of giving an employee a perk without paying tax on.

I think it can be taxed but its still cost effective for companies. They usually get "job lot" rates from O2/vodafone (whatever)

Company mobiles not taxed even if also used for personal use. I believe there is a discount when don't get company mobiles itemised.

Very OT but are you sure on this Pete?

My understanding is that the Revenue rule is that non-business calls must be identified and are BIK-able.

They are but generally never reported unless costs are unbelievable high.
Boys in our place have company pd mobiles but the aren't B-I-K'ed
Now if the revenue went nit picking which they may do at a later stage then thats another story.

I think the personal calls on company phones is one of the things that would raise so little BIK due to the business use element - like the 5% on personal use of actual vans but with a tiny value to work off - that there is no point implementing it, or chasing it up if implemented.

Taken a quick look there and I can't see it actually being there on Revenue's site anyway.

Back on topic now might be an idea!

How do the revenue know what is a personal call when the bill is not itemised?

Ah I only had €5 on Cork anyway!. I thought they'd win with Bohs having nothing to play for and the cup final next week. Luckily Pats made up for it!.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
