What ever happened to Keith O'Neil, remember thinking he looked like a decent player when he broke into the Irish team around 96 or so, I think he had injury problems and seems to have disappeared completely, is he retired now?
Speaking of goal keepers, anyone remember Paddy Roche who went from Bohs to Man U and made some awful howlers? Really felt for the player.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Mark Yeates. He was a hot prospect at Spurs for a while, made his premiership debut in 2004. Playing in League One with Colchester now.
"If you don't work harder I'll pull you off at halftime,"
“Crikey, at Manchester City all we get is an orange and a cup of tea,"
that guy that was on Juventus underage setup was it John O Brien or something think he went to States now.
Not sure if he deserves to be on list like this so apologies but remember him being labeled in same way as Brady (of course that was obvious choice to be compared too also)
I actually had high hopes for Joe O'Cearuill for a while. Colin Healy never fulfilled his potential either.

He was invited to train with the squad on the tour in the States last year, and turned it down.
from http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns...t=mls&&cc=5739
NewsTalk contacted Toronto FC to request an interview with him. They were told he'd only speak to them if they didn't ask him about why he wasn't going to train with the squad. Which was kind of what the whole interview was going to be about, so it never took place.Republic of Ireland coach Steve Staunton wanted uncapped Toronto FC midfielder Ronnie O'Brien on his squad for this week's two-game tour of the U.S. But not only did O'Brien, who recently returned from a knee injury, nix the invite, he's not the least bit bothered about getting another chance to represent his country.
It was Shels. Saw him play at the Markets Field in the early 70's. I think we put 3 past him that day. He was error prone at Man Utd. He also played in the game in Berne in 1975 when we lost to a poor Swiss side. A win would have put us in Euro76.
No idea where he is now.

Never play leapfrog with a unicorn!!
What about Ken De Mange? Kelham O'Hanlon?
Never play leapfrog with a unicorn!!
I always enjoy threads like this...
Ronnie O'Brien making half a million dollars a year to play the game we all love, a star within the MLS, and being labelled as "never making it."
