How bad do I like to think you are? I'm just pointing out that Derry shouldn't be mentioned on a par with us in terms of financial security, and that they don't have a "secret", as per the OP.
Given a choice of finding £30k or potentially not getting a licence, I think all the stops would be pulled to get the cheque. It certainly wasn't at the click of a finger, "Oh, here you go, sorry about that, forgot all about it".
The point about Cork and their wages was completely missed by you; it's that paying your wages every week on time and in full isn't of itself a reflection of financial stability, but can rather be a club focussing on keeping the players 100% happy because that'll be the quickest bad news story to break, and it'd mean players are free agents too. Nothing at all to do with sugar daddies.
Financially safe clubs:
UCD - college run
Pats - Sugar Daddy
Dundalk - Not being promoted and being run like a business
Wexford - The richest club in the league
Monaghan - No ambition
Limerick - So far

Yes you are. Being Full tiem does not mean we'l be spending crazy money. You can be full time on 500euro a week.
Our wage budget is being slashed dramatically. Mathews has taken a big pay cut, players under contract(Gamble etc) will be asked to do the same. We have all but 6 out of contract, they will be offered smaller contracts. If they accept, great. If not we'll lose them and have to bring in other cheaper players.
We will have 16 fulltimers plus younsters part time and amateur.
Tom Coughlan will be not pumping money in the way Arkaga were supposed to.
The amount going out will only be the amount coming in. We will be run in a financially viable way.
We get decent average crowds, have good sponsorship deals and are working on improving revenue. If revenue streams do increase we can increase the budget then.
You seem to be equating having full timers with overspending i.e. carrying on as we were. we are not.
How
We have to beat Bohs Friday or else we miss out on Europe.
Also if we hadnt had the points deduction we would finish 3rd, better prizemoney and Europe guaranteed.
Drogs were not the people we were challenging for positions, Sligo and Derry were

Im not saying our players were on that...Im just trying to illustrate that full time does not necessarily mean overspending. Btw we had players on that and less the year we wont he league
I agree the players in the league right now would expect more but that may not be the case in a few years time.....

500 euro a week is not a great wage for an industry as unstable and with as little long term prospects as Irish professional soccer, I cant see many players doing it for that if for example they can play part time somewhere else and earn 300 at the club and 450 somewhere else. Maybe there are players on 500 f/t at the moment, are there?

In fairness I had heard it from a very reliable source too. They'll have a vastly improved budget without having to pay rent on Tolka, they have a 50/50 split with SDCC on stadium advertising as far as I know, season ticket sales are flying, they'll sell out the first few games and will have a few high profile friendlies (I think the stadium opener might well be Ireland B v Shamrock Rovers). Don't see any reason why they couldn't go full time with huge numbers of players out of contract and likely to take much smaller deals than they would have looked for in the past.

I think Dodge will still be the one laughing....even if ye do go full time.
Sure ye'l have a major cash boost this year but what about when teh crowds taper off(its certain thyy will from what will be there initally) and you will be stuck with 2 or 3 year full time contracts that you might have trouble with.
Imo Rovers should stay part time for at least 2-3 years, then see what money is coming in regularly in Tallaght and base any new budgets(attempts to go fulltime) on that.
I'd imagine it'll be a split of full-time/part-time they're not going to make the mistake Pat's made and force out quality part-time players like McGuire. I'm not sure it's a good idea either, I'd be inclined to think they should try and put money in the bank for the future and, if they can sustain crowds and season ticket holders, look to do the full time think in a year or two.

Don't forget that Rovers got a sizeable amount of their membership to pay 2-5 years subscriptions upfront last year, and unlike Bohs or Pats they'll get nothing from other clubs/national sides using the pitch
