King, and to a lesser extent Woodgate, have had injury problems and having another top level centre-half in there will be absolutely necessary if they're serious about breaking through as a top club.

King and Woodgate if fit are good players but you would probably be lucky to get 50 games from the two of them in a season and Kings long term future in football is pretty uncertain(hard to believe with medical advances and the money involved that they cannot keep this guy on the field)
I dont think Dawson is going to make the grade at this stage though he looked a good prospect a couple of years ago.

Man City let 2 in today so they were not much good without Dunne against an off form
    Hull.

Richard does not shy away from discussing the two own goals he has conceded this season, which the rest of the City squad have helped him to deal with.
He adds, “It’s been very frustrating, it is the worst feeling in the world for a player. Your confidence takes a knock and it’s very deflating, you can worry about it every time the ball comes into the box but you just have to clear your head and get on with it.
“I’ve been very lucky because the lads and the manager here have been very supportive of me, which has been a big help. In the end it’s down to me and I just have to concentrate on my own game.”
