Tonight's First Division game between Longford Town and Wexford Youths has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
no details on the refix yet.
Our lads have heard it is on Wednesday night. Luckily the supporters bus hadn't gone too far before it had to turn around. I don't think we could get many up midweek though
Match has currently been rescheduled for Wednesday at 7.30 according to Youths official site
And Miles To Go Before We Sleep
meself an 2 of the lads were walking down the balinalee road yesterday evening at about 7 o clock..and a lad got out of a car and asked us could we give him directions to flancare park? his car had a wexford registration so i told him that the game was called off..he couldnt believe it, he had 3 young kids in the car and one of them was due to be the mascot for the game..he was disgusted after drivin all the way up..poor form nobody from either club got in touch to tell him..
we are going up
Well in fairness it was on the website and on Aertel and presumably the national sports news on the radio. Hardly Longford's responsibility to be getting in touch with every individual Wexford fan. Though I do feel sorry for him of course.

Definitely set for Wednesday? I should be able to go if so, wouldn't have made last night as was on way back from the overnighter in Cork![]()
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
Not Longford's responsibility at all and I do fell sorry for him but Wexford had no way to let everybody know as the webtexts are gone so could only rely on press and word of mouth to get it out the game was off.
And Miles To Go Before We Sleep
just checked our own website just now still no sign when the game is refixed? Is it definitely weds night can anyone confirm??![]()
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
If Wexford have it down as Wednesday on their site that's when it is, weather permitting of course. I'm sure it'll be confirmed on our site in due course!.

I was five and he was six
We rode on horses made of sticks
He wore black and I wore white
He would always win the fight
Bang bang, he shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down.
Seasons came and changed the time
When I grew up, I called him mine
He would always laugh and say
"Remember when we used to play?"
Bang bang, I shot you down
Bang bang, you hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, I used to shoot you down.
Music played, and people sang
Just for me, the church bells rang.
Now he's gone, I don't know why
And till this day, sometimes I cry
He didn't even say goodbye
He didn't take the time to lie.
Bang bang, he shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down...

Kill Bill. How wonderfully random.

The odd thing is I used to listen to that song many moons ago long before kill bill 2 arrived and sent me to sleep. Looking forward to the match![]()

Are you planning on taking a samurai sword to some unfortunate Yoofs fan/player/ unsuspecting match official by any chance?.

Nah I am far too peaceful for that carry on, a bit of lung busting roaring rubbish will do.
