has any one got good travel tips, etc

Last time I was in Goa my girlfriend got shot in the head by a Russian hitman. Apart from that I loved it.

I have been invited to a wedding in South Goa in February 2012 and was wondering if anyone has been there and any recommendations on hotels, travel etc. Need to do it as cheap as possible too!

bump....the wedding is in January now...so anyone want to come with me? My brother and his wife were meant to go and had intended to travel through India and see a bit but now they aren't going and don't want to travel alone!
