irelands brightest daily
the star
(which is why it must be true)
right lads
That the only source? Haven't heard any whispers around the club. Not that too many of them confide in me but I occasionally get a sniff of what's going on before it reaches the great unwashed...
So, sorry, can't confirm that anyway.

yea was thinking prob just a rumour
like the one about us signing Alan Kirby that was doing the rounds for so long
I was onto a galway man, reputed to be a challenger to James and Joe for the "Tom the Gom" role, also known as superfly who said it was quite likely. I'd be sad to see mark go, he's one of our best players. I think he's been held responsible for the faults of others and treated very poorly by many city fans. A big loss.
Wouldn't be surprsied if Herro left at all. He doesn't seem to be a favourite of Gunther either.
Herro plays very well in the away games but not as well in the home games. I think he gets a lot of stick for holding onto the ball too much at home whereas thats exactely what city need away from home usually.
Being Honest I don't rate Herrick much. But one thing which can be said about him is that he will always fight for City. What he lacks in skill he makes up for in heart. And sure god knows we have very few players like that, now do we?
If Herrick goes it'll be a terrible move for City.
Its a Peoples Republic of Cork
Agreed, but from what I hear it's not too likely. Galway are broke. I doubt they could afford him.
From eircomleague.net
"Galway United have been linked with Cork City midfielder Mark Herrick.
The 28-year-old joined the Leesiders from Galway in 1997, though he has never really captured the form that made him such a hero at Terryland Park in the colours of Cork City. "
Further fuel for the rumour, though maybe Johnny just nicked it from The Star too!
Gerry
The article in the star had a quote from the galway manager saying that he was in talks with mark- that was thursday. no more news so far.
