    Irish Amatuers Qualify

Congratulations to the Irish Amatuer team on qualifying for the European Regions cup after a 5-1 win over Scotland yesterday.

Having drawn their first 2 games with England and Italy respectively they needed to beat Scotland by 4 clear goals and hope the game between the other teams finished level which just so happened!!

So for anyone with any ambition of forcing their way into the reckoning they have the bones of a year!!

There is 3 from munster senior league. Mostly Dublin based players. Cork teams have won the intermediate cup for the last 3 years surely should be more.

Carrick won the Fai Junior Cup and still only have Adrian Walsh on the team. Hard to understand. They have been winning the league in Waterford consistently, won the Munster Junior Cup and been in last sixteen of FAI Senior cup.

I think quite a few of the Cork lads were probably unable to play because they have already played in the League of Ireland.
