Throwing out a suggestion here but....
This is not a personal gripe at any individuals on here but should there be a ticket exchange for match tickets when tickets for the same game can be bought through fai/ticketmaster??
I realise there are some games that people cant attend due to work/family etc, but there does always seems to be a lot more tickets on offer for the lesser games. It would appear some people seem to hold onto many block bookings so they can obtain tickets for the "big" games.
Its frustating being on the block booking waiting list so long, when some seem to be sitting on many block booking places without the intention on using them for all the games personally.

Don't think it would make any difference. Very few people seem to need tickets for the small games.

Personally I feel Foot.ie are facilitating people sitting on tickets.
Whilst selling on tickets (for face value) for one game is fair enough, selling on tickets for more than one game per campaign in my opinion should not be allowed. The selling thread appears to have a lot of regular sellers who like to think they are doing people a favour by offering a regular face value ticket.
It's fairly obvious what people are up to.

As we have yet to pay for these tickets from the fai, should there be a thread on here offering spare tickets ??? Surely no need to buy tickets from the fai if you arent using them......

in my case, my name has appeared up quite a bit, I have been unable to get over due to holidays and money for the last 2 games. The other was I kept taking 2 tickets but 2 lads let me down so I was left with 4 tickets 2 of which I always took no matter what but then 2 games where the lads went off travelling hence, I was trying to get rid of them here. This time, I put one up for sale for genuine supporters, I could bring another person with me to the game but they don't care properly about football and i would just start getting annoyed with them sitting beside me when i know they are only fairweather supporters. IF it doesnt get sold or you think I shouldn't be allowed post it fair enough ill get rid of it but to a less genuine supporter.

I think people's point is that if people can't commit to the four tickets from the FAI why not let two of them go back into the block booking pool rather than hanging onto them and selling them on here. The obvious answer is because they want them for the big games.
I don't have a huge problem with it, but I'd agree that the site is facilitating people's distribution of BB tickets they'd never wanted in the first place as they wait for big games.
tiktok, i did exactly that, even though i was afraid they wouldnt let me but thats what i did after trying to keep them on for 4 games.

the vast majority of people who offer tickets on here have multiple ticket holdings. while i haven't put any tickets up, it seems that those who do are those who are still going themselves but put a part of their booking up for sale. they are still going to the games and by and large have been let down by people they also get tickets for, who decide they don't want to go.
i think it would be counter-productive to stop people selling spare tickets to games that aren't sold out. while it results in the fai getting extra money (in that the tickets sold are those from the fai rather than peoples spares), it leaves people who have been let down by their so called friends substantially out of pocket. if people chose to get tickets from the fai rather than on here (and lets face it, the most extra tickets offered on here is usually only about 40 per game) they're causing fans to lose e2000. its really a facility to help out fellow fans (whether its buying tickets people can't sell anywhere else, or providing tickets people can't buy anywhere else) who need to buy or sell tickets.
it's a two way street. you can't criticise people for selling tickets to low demand games and then expect them to sell you cost price tickets for the big draws.
While you make some valid points, why don't these people order the number of tickets that they need and not be counting on somebody to take it off them every game.
The whole system is wrong. If each individual had a booking of one ticket with the FAI, then it is up to that one individual to look after his booking and not putting the burden on anybody else but themselves.
I think the system worked particularly well when we were in LR, when by and large tickets for all qualifiers were scarce. Now with Croker there is plenty of tickets, however when we move back in a couple of years we will be back to a situation where demand is likely to exceed supply.......so i think alot of the problems raised above are only temporary whilst we play in croker.
The big issue then for many on here including me, who have only got on the block booking list since we moved to croker, will probably lose our block booking when we go back to LR.
I have a question - is it against the rules to offer people less than face value for tickets that they cannot shift? For example, two days before the Georgia game if the supply of tickets is far above the demand for them, can I offer someone €30 for a €50 face value ticket they cannot shift? I'm sure the seller would rather cut their losses and take €30 than toss the ticket in the bin but these rules don't mention below face value selling..
It's been done before. I don't really have a problem with it.

Some valid points raised here. I had a 4 ticket block booking which I reduced to 3 as they guy taking the ticket could no longer go. The same 3 people have been using the tickets since the start and if anyone of then chose not to take a friendly for example then that seat would be cancelled. I do not agree with having a bigger than needed block booking simply as a means to ensure tickets for "big" games.
