O'Donnell Signs For City
Cork City FC are delighted to announce the signing of Stephen O'Donnell. The Galway born midfielder, 23, has signed a two year contract and joins the Rebel Army having played for Bohemians, Falkirk and Arsenal.
Speaking at the club's training ground at Bishopstown shortly after O'Donnell put pen to paper, City boss Paul Doolin said: "Stephen is a quality player, and he is young as well. He's had good experience, he did well with Bohs last year and I think he is a good addition to the squad, as it gives us a bit of competition for places as well."
Séan Kelly gone on loan to galway according to our forum![]()

A John Maguire came on as a sub for Dundalk last night. Does anyone know who he is?
It's Josh Maguire.
Yeah I just found that out. The Sligo Rovers match report has his name as John..
By following the Cork example of racking up debts, and then going to the High Court to negotiate paying a fraction of that debt...sure tis a sound business model used regularly in the peoples republic![]()
Maybe ye bloody did, how do we know ye didnt, few brown enveolpes handed under the table, heard ye love that method of payment down there. At least we didn't get funded by the FAI like Drogs.![]()
Relegation - I doubt it
George O'Cal - Quite possibly!..however the only source still linking us is the Sun and to be quite honest i wouldnt lower myself to believeing that drivelling excuse for a tabloid...
If he does sign hes a good player, but has no loyalty other than to his pocket and will probably be gone by the summer, but i challenge him to prove me wrong....
