In fairness to Dundalk, if, as ORA noted, they need E20k a week, that's just over a million on a 52-week season. Harps turned over E830k last year by comparison, and Dundalk are bigger than Harps. (I'd expect them to get another 500 a week at the gate, and then they have the pitch rental and the bar rental). It's doable, although if the crowds don't turn up, they're in trouble.

Think it's important to distinguish between a pro on E800 a week and on E3k a week too.
I think Harps had some major membership push before the start of last season ut i am not 100% certain of that.

€1000 per week Pitch (prob earns a lot more but i dont have figures)
    €800 per week bars

Plus you have shirt sponsors, match sponsors, ball sponsors, mascots, merchandise, sweet shop shop, Programs, goaltimes, Fundraisers, tv money, prize money.

Our youth training centre will be complete in the summer with an indoor pitch and Gym which will also generate more revenue for the club.

Where does the maths not work out?
What about PRSI, VAT, Light & Heat, Repairs, Coach Hire, Phones, Rates, Refuse Charges, Insurance etc.
Wexford Youths don't pay wages, have the 3rd highest attendance in the 1st Division and still only make ends meet on account of running costs

Then your fundraising is awful. Or else your expenses are high.

I heard this too, also Shane Robinson has met a few people and wants to come back to us to be part of the whole Tallaght thing

Owen Morrison and Stephen Parkhouse believed to have signed for Rovers this week, according to the Derry Journal.

John Russell(ex-Galway) is also being linked with us.
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.

I'd imagine waterford lad Robinson has strong ties to the area, and its nothing to do with the wage on offer

Or maybe he enjoyed himself during his previous years with the club and see the potential, and its only goina be a part time contract like the rest of the squad

I'm not saying he won't be happy to be there, I'm just saying that Robinson, like 99% of footballers in this country will go to whoever offers him the best deal. He wasn't haking himself arund the lower leagues in England thinking of playing in Tallaght.

And for the record, I think he's one of the top 5 players in the league

Apparently Reading were very impressed but more or less told him he will be a reserve player. He is defo one of the best and most naturally talented in our league

    Good luck with that one...
How are they even allowed sign players with players and Matthews remaining unpaid?

Considering Quigley is about to put pen to paper on a contract to Derry its not a great story.

I just hope Guy can get the work permit as well.

Neither. A lot of our income is reinvested back in to the infrastructure of the club. You'll see the benefits when you visit
