Poor journalism in the NOTW----Dundalk are looking to sign Derry's keeper alright but it's Quigley, not Doherty they want!!........they also want Kevin McHugh!!...................Shelley and Stuart Byrne to Bohs!![]()
Rumours are flying around that David Cassidy has joined Fingal...anyone from Fingal care to elaborate????
Ian Bermingham to Fingal.
Gerry Gannon must have awful deep pockets. What happens when he ups and leaves the County Council will hardly bail them out.
We are the Galway Boys Stand up and make some noise"
You listen to bebo now?
Psychadelic...
Anyone else think Fingal might be planning for the premier division? With so many other teams likely to have licence issues it's not beyond the realm of possibility. They may even have got a discreet nod from the FAI?
They're spending a ludicrous amount for a first division side.

Tallaght Stadium Regular
They've Harps, Cobh, us, Shels and Waterford to pass out for that to happen. Not going to happen.
They will walk the First Division next year though.
Spending ludicrous amounts isn't exactly unknown in this league!
Jeff Kenna spotted at Cork airport today checking in to a flight to Manchester, according to Cork forum. Interviewed for Cork job maybe or maybe just a relaxing weekend in Cork?![]()
Life without Rovers, it makes no sense...it's a heartache...nothing but a fools game. S.R.F.C.
I dunno about that, Fingal had some decent players this season but came 4th, you can assemble as many players as you like, but its very hard to produce a proper club spirit, then again they`re hardly a proper club.
UCD are always well tuned in for this div, have you ever spent more than 1 year down stu ?

TO TELL THE TRUTH IS REVOLUTIONARY
The ONLY foot.ie user with a type of logic named after them!
All of this has happened before. All of it will happen again.
We came 3rd.
Yeah we did have some decent players but we also had very little time to blend those players into a team before the season kicked off. We really didnt start playing well untill close to half way through the season. If it wasnt for the teams above us messing up we never would have challenged. I still think we under performed given the squad we had though.
We are a proper club. No matter what some people say. You may not like us, which is fair enough but it still doesnt take away the fact we are a proper club.
I take great offence to the last part as I feel as strongly about my club as you do yours.
What grants?

We have, yeah.
We cam straight back up the first time I think, then went straight back down and then had four or five years straight in the First before walking it in 1994/95. But we had promotion in our hands with five games or so to go each of the last three times before we went to the Collingwood, won that, got tired and missed out on the last day! I don't think we've sent our first-team to the Collingwood since.
Don't know if we'll come straight back up this time though. I think the First Division team will win the play off, however, and we'll be back up next year at the latest.
You`re correct on both Lamper, you did come 3rd, and I shouldnt have made that remark about not a proper club.
Ps Are there any plans for Fingal to expand into the neigbouring towns for support, for eg Swords, Skerries, Ballbriggan ? i dont mean move to play there, but set up training, have club shops there etc to tap into local support
