Bit of a mixed bag, started off pretty poor but got better all seasson
at left back, real mixed opinion amoung the fans too, some say did well
and some just never took to him all season.
i for one am glad he signed, higgins too
despite the constant rumours of him signing for bohs
Justice Edwards didn`t believe the particular former Directors account, and believed the developer, which tells its own story! Rather than finding against us on simple contract grounds he strayed into murkey issues of enforcement of equitable interests in a portion of the lands. Presume what you like about the outcome in the Supreme Court but when the full HC judgement is up on the Courts Service you may hold a different view.
Joxer has left Bohs apparantly.
Following rumours on Derry forum:
We are chasing Brian Shelley, Ollie Cahill, Ken Oman and Richard Clarke. 5 players to be let go. Sean Hargan already released and 4 others to follow.
I'd say Jennings, Martyn, Dennehy and McHugh will be others.
Higgsy coming back to replace Reynolds
Killian Brennan was talking to Kenny was one of the rumours but I dont believe that to be true at all.
There's nothing murky about equitable interests in portions of land. Representations were made by O'Reilly which were relied upon by Conroy and Bohs were estopped from claiming no deal was done.
On most of the legal points regarding whether an agreement had been entered into Bohs won but on the evidence Albions witnesses were deemed more reliable.
It's extremely unlikely that oral evidence will be given in the Supreme Court and that's why (IMO) the appeal is unlikely to succeed.
Pat Fenlon happened Martyn. You got to feel sorry for the guy.
He was the EL's Frank Lampard, do nothing during the game then pop up with a goal. Unfortunally, he isn't getting any younger and i'm not sure if we will be able to get him back to his pre Fenlon best.
I think he could be moving on as hes on a nice wage.
That said, some of our best form this year was when we were playing a three man midfield with Martyn, Deery and Higgins in the middle, so maybe Kenny sees a future for him.
MD
Gamble has signed three year deal with City.
The appeal will be on a point of law, the credibility issue has been decided and a developer has been held to be more credible than an Officer of the Court .
Whether Edwards erred in ordering specific performance on a dubious or (even murky) equitable interest will presumably be the focus.. You find any similarly decided cases Charliesboots, ?
Anyway, time will tell, obviously its better to win this in the Supreme Court rather than the High Court!
Are there 2 different threads mixed into one here? Read a thread supposedly about 'Transfer Rumours' and it's interspersed with a court case about Dalymount Park.
Joxer to Rovers will only happen if he's willing to go part-time and I assume take a big pay-cut. Pats were sniffing about him for quite some time during the season.
Can Rovers actually sign anyone with no manager in place? Let me clarify: not CAN they but WOULD they? Wouldn't make sense imo. A board signing players any potential new manager might not even want to work with. Don't think so.
Anyone know Joe Ndo's contract situation at Pats? What's left on it?
I would think the only people who know the identity of the next Rovers manager are the Rovers board. Anything you read on some internet forum is supposition and hearsay.
