The implication is that we offered 'big wages' more than '1k per week', which I dispute.
Chances are he just didn't want to play for Connor and was using the money as an excuse when Doolin came in, or that he was haggling and chancing his arm. We may have offered more than you [I don't know what you offered] but just because he asked you for €X per week doesn't mean we agreed to pay it.
And again, 'word from Oriel Park' is, IMO, Sean Connor trying to look like the only reason someone wouldn't want to play for him is because of money, not neccessarily the case.
Oh and word from Turners Cross is that you wanted to pay Stephen in motivational notes from Steve Bruce, which apparently isn't legal tender if you live outside Sean Connor's head.

I just don't like Cork.
Is dat rite. Corkonians needn't be too offended, I'm fairly misanthropic after a couple of Bushmills, I would have liked O'Donnell to have signed for us.
Heard the exact same thing from a man in the know. I didn't really believe it at first but now i've seen it somewhere else i'm thinking it has more credibility. The rent thing is a way of getting around the 65% rule, not that Cork are going to exceed that but it very cute hoorish
Our turnover was 1.5million last year apparently but budgeted to be a fair bit lower this season
No offense lads but unless you've seen the contract then I dont think Il be taking your word for it.
Tom coughlan is not the type, to be throwing away money, and he doesnt have it to throw away. Doolin has a budget and once he sticks within it he can sign who he likes Id imagine.
O'Donnell has signed for us according to Doolin on the radio just now. 2 year contract.
He also said we'll be making 1 more signing before monday and that it's not George O'Callaghan.
